DESCRIPTION
This makes the more attractive, reduced height 150 cm vs 165 cm for Beolab Penta makes a real difference in the impression of size and makes the BeoVox speaker easier to install discreetly.
However, it must be accepted that many B&O systems such as Beomaster 5500, 6500 and 7000 with their max 2x110watt would at best be a third of what Beolab Penta could handle.
Of course, when using Beovox Penta with the excellent Beomaster 5500, 6500 or 7000, a very satisfactory at reasonable listening levels.
Some may use a pair of Beolab 150 amplifiers, although this would represent a somewhat pointless approach to system building, and it would only provide a slightly more complex and bulky form of Beolab Penta without display.
Owners of the older Beomaster 8000 could benefit greatly from Beovox Penta, Beomaster 8000 is an advanced FM receiver with a rated output of 2 x 150 watts IHF A-202. It has the power, precision and overall performance to reproduce all types of music with utmost fidelity.
The fact is that BeoVox Penta speakers need to get close to Beolab Penta a powerful amplifier of at least 2x150 watt at 8 ohms. Of course it works well with lower end-stage power but optimally it is to go up to 150watt minimum.
With BeoVox Penta being a passive speaker without a built-in amplifier such as Beolab Penta which is an active speaker, BeoVox Penta is very good at connecting it to any amplifier.
