Bang & Olufsen launched the world's first WISA standard wireless speaker a few years ago.

Later, Bang & Olufsen launched a WISA-compatible transmitter / receiver set that makes it possible to

wireless connect to Bang & Olufsen sound system or TV and large wireless connect; all active speakers.

This enables B&O customers to update existing equipment with new technology and features. Wireless surround sound is thus a reality for most of Bang & Olufsen's products.

BeoLab receiver 1 for Bang & Olufsen customers who can convert their active BeoLab speaker into a wireless speaker system.

So it is no longer necessary to run cables throughout the room to add speakers or a subwoofer to its surround system. With Immaculate Wireless Sound, Bang & Olufsen this tradition of acoustic authenticity in the wireless age. The Wisa platform (Wireless Speakers and Audio Association) uses the relatively unloaded 5.2-5.8 GHz band to avoid interference from other signals, and to ensure sufficient bandwidth to stream lossless 24-bit audio.

WISA is the first wireless system in U-NII bands that provides experiences in several channels - up to a full 7.1 surround configuration.

The receiver is compatible with all active Bang & Olufsen other than BeoLab 5 speakers
