When it comes to sound reproduction, there is only one relevant parameter: How closely the speakers originally reproduced the sound without adding unnatural elements to the acoustic image.
That's why all Bang & Olufsen speakers are designed to reproduce the natural, unchanged sound as closely as possible "- All B&O speakers have the same goals, even if they differ in size, shape and sound pressure level.
BeoLab 4000 wall-mounted, on a floor stand or in the bookshelf connected to the music system in the living room, regardless of wired or wireless, placement becomes a simple solution, plus it is available in different colors, this flexibility transforms the BeoLab 4000 into an art form.
Placing amplifiers directly in the speakers themselves not only improves the sound quality but allows the manufacturer to reduce the overall size of the cabinet. The result is a compact speaker that can sit on a shelf, bookshelf or hang, from almost any angle, from the wall or ceiling.
Available in six vibrant colors, the BeoLab 4000 is equally at home in a stereo installation, a surround sound system or as superior multimedia speakers for your computer.
Beolab 4000 Features:
The BeoLab 4000 fills the room with sound
You can't see sound, but it doesn't have to be completely invisible. The BeoLab 4000 is made of polished aluminum as well as a listening mirror. Also available in different colors that match your decor as real life which is itself full of colors.
Aluminum
Aluminum is the perfect material it is lightweight, but offers an impressive stiffness despite a few millimeters of thickness. This also makes it easier to get the unique curved shape of the Beolab 4000 speaker, which eliminates internal standing waves in the cabinet.
Beolab 4000 Active speaker
The solution used to be simple; the louder the sound, the bigger the speaker - but no longer. By placing the amplifier directly in the speaker, the total size of the BeoLab 4000 is reduced to one third of a conventional speaker with the same audio capacity. The principle is called Active Speaker, and what you get is a compact speaker that can play at high volume without interference or damage to its drives. Furthermore, when amplifiers, treble and base units are paired for the same task, they can be tailored to compensate for each other's shortcomings. What you hear is music that sounds exactly like the instrument it originally came from.
Customizable base linearization
Adaptive Bass Linearisation (ABL) is a process patented by B&O and integrated into BeoLab speakers. The excess capacity of the amplifier and speaker elements is used for a bass extension that results in a sound reproduction with more bass than the speaker could otherwise produce.
The feature is customizable.
The speaker adapts to the signal it receives. Speaker elements can therefore give full strength without being affected by mechanical or electronic failure at the same time, the amplifiers are not exposed to signals that would create an overload situation.
ABL provides fantastic bass reproduction considering the size of the speaker in which it is built.
Placement flexibility
You can use the BeoLab 4000 as the main speaker or as an extra in a Bang & Olufsen surround sound set. Their ability to fit into the smallest space, or to hang on the wall at almost any angle, also makes them the perfect speaker.
Active speakers produce heat if they have to play for a long time without a break. The Beolab 4000 is built and designed to handle this without any problems even in a bookshelf, so it will still have enough cooling air around it, no matter how many books it shares the space with.
Beolab 4000 MK2 Even cooler
In 2007, Beolab 4000 Mk2 was introduced. Almost unconsciously, the biggest change was the use of Digital ICE amplifiers to replace the AB type that produces even cooler speakers. In design, the Beolab 4000 did not change, which meant that customers did not notice if B&O did not tell us about the change that was made between Beolab MK1 and MK2
