When Beolab 2 is connected to the mains, the standby indicator lights up red, indicating that BeoLab 2 is ready for use.

When you turn on your Bang & Olufsen system, BeoLab 2 turns on at the same time. The red standby indicator light turns green, indicating that BeoLab 2 is on. When you turn off the system or turn off the sound, the red indicator light appears immediately, indicating that BeoLab 2 is not in use.

Customize the sensitivity of Beolab 2

BeoLab 2 can be placed almost anywhere in a room. But the most natural sound and best stereo / surround sound experience is obtained by customizing setup settings on BeoLab 2.

To customize the speaker system connected to BeoLab 2, it has a SETUP switch with three settings, Low - Medium and Max bass reproduction.

Position Beolab 2 and set the POSITION switch

BeoLab2 also has & nbsp; a POSITION switch with three settings that & nbsp; filter out the base change when relocating e.g. in a corner, wall or freestanding.

• CORNER: Use this setting if BeoLab 2 is placed in a corner 
• WALL: Use this setting if BeoLab 2 is placed closer than approx. 50 cm (20 ”) against a wall and no closer to a corner than approx. 150 cm (60 ”) 
• INDEPENDENT: Use this setting if BeoLab 2 is placed more than approx. 50 cm from the wall 

Beolab 2 Speaker connection:

BeoLab 2 has 8-pin Power Link connections. 

Below are some sample connection variants that show two surround sound settings and one stereo setting. 

• Dolby Digital system together with Beolab 2:

The system has a special SUBWOOFER socket and all speakers are connected directly to your Bang & Olufsen system.

• Dolby Pro Logic system together with Beolab 2:

This system has no special subwoofer socket. The front speakers are connected to BeoLab 2 and BeoLab 2 is connected to your Bang & Olufsen system. The rear speakers are connected directly to your Bang & Olufsen system.

• Stereo system together with Beolab 2:

Left and right speakers are connected to BeoLab 2 and BeoLab 2 is connected to your Bang & Olufsen system

• Speaker cover built into Beolab 2:

BeoLab 2 has built-in speaker protection that instantly lowers & nbsp; the volume if the speaker is played for a long time at high volume, after & nbsp; the situation has stabilized, the volume slowly returns to normal. This protection prevents Beolab 2 from being damaged.
